What we do
Accessful automatically audits and remediates PDF documents for accessibility. The AI understands text, layout and image content, adds the missing structural level - tags, reading order, alt text - and documents each result in an audit-ready report. The layout and content of your documents remain unchanged.
The necessary specialist knowledge is in the AI: You don't need PDF/UA expertise in-house or additional tools - just your documents.

Created where the requirements are high
Accessful has its origins in the insurance industry: A large insurer was faced with the task of making new and existing policy documents accessible - documents that were constantly being created as well as the growing inventory. This couldn't be done manually either in terms of time or economically.
This project gave rise to the belief that PDF accessibility can be automated. Our two CTOs spent around three years developing an AI that understands documents and corrects them independently. In January 2025 we founded Accessful GmbH - since then we have been continuously improving the AI models.
